WHAT SHOULD I TEST MY WATER FOR?
Our standard residential profile is recommended. This includes both a bacterial and a chemical analysis. This will give you a good idea of what is in your water. If you have specific concerns you should contact the lab for additional parameters. Please click Technical Information tab, then Method Lists to view the standard residential profile.

CAN I COLLECT WATER SAMPLES MYSELF?
Yes. We have collection procedures, available for download on this site, which will explain the proper procedure for water collection. Please see the Sample Collection Instructions tab under Residential.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RESULTS?
Most residential client reports are generated within two days. Reports can be emailed, faxed and an original is always put in the mail.

WHAT IS THE COST FOR ANALYSIS?
Please contact the lab for pricing. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

WHAT BOTTLES DO I NEED TO TEST MY WATER?
For most tests, special bottles and preservatives may be needed. JMS can provide you with the bottles you will need to collect your water sample. Please click Technical Information tab, then Holding Times to get information on bottles and preservatives.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TEST MY WATER?
Your water should be tested at least once a year for coliform bacteria.

CAN I MAIL IN MY SAMPLE?
Samples can be mailed to the lab. Please contact us for information on shipping. Some samples must be delivered to the lab and analyzed within a certain time of collection. Please click Technical Information tab, then Holding Times to get information on bottles and preservatives.

ARE THE REPORTS EASY TO INTERPRET?
JMS sends interpretation sheets along with your results. This should explain what the results mean. Interpretation sheets are available on this site or you can contact the lab if you have further questions. Please see Result Interpretation tab under Residential to get information that will help you to interpret your results. Also, your local health department is a good resource.
